Puppy mills...continued

If you're interested in dogs (and soon-PUPPIES!) from the puppy mill raids, please contact SPOT and NOAH for more information and application forms.

Many dogs are pregnant females who will have litters within the next few months. They are expecting any where from 1200 to 5000 puppies, many of which will have to be euthanized at the time of birth due to populations at the shelters.

Puppy mills and SPOT

Many people here in the Seattle area have seen in the news reports of hundreds of dogs being seized from local puppy mills.

I've heard (and this is through the grapevine) that they won't be charging the crazy adoption fees because they are anxious to 'home' as many as possible. Although, you should check with SPOT (Saving Pets One at a Time) for more information on this.

Most are small dog breeds and 'designer' dogs.

I've also heard that these dogs weren't mistreated or abused...they are good-tempered, just underfed and malnourished.

At this time, the dogs aren't available to adopt but please check with SPOT to find out when they will be ready. They are also in need of monetary donations, fencing supplies, bedding and food.
